Privacy Policy

Fast Translation Services S.L. (CIF B50841329, C. de Martón y Gavín, 10, Delicias, 50017 Zaragoza, Spain) is the controller of the personal data processed through fasttranslationservices.com. For any question about this policy, or to exercise your rights, write to support@fasttranslationservices.com.

We collect the data you give us directly:

• Contact and order data — your name, email address, phone number and, when you request postal delivery of a translation, your postal address.
• Business-buyer data — your company name and EU VAT number, if you order as a VAT-registered business outside Spain.
• Your documents — the source documents you send us for translation, and the translations we produce from them.
• Order data — the service, options, quantities and prices of what you order, and your order reference.
• Correspondence — any message you send us through our contact form, at checkout or by email.

We also collect a small amount of data automatically:

• Cart and consent choice — a cookie that remembers the contents of your cart and the cookie choice you make, stored in your browser (see our Cookie Policy).
• Analytics data — if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects anonymised information about how you use the site (pages viewed, device type, approximate location); this never runs before you opt in.

A note on the documents you send us: translation work often involves personal documents that can be highly sensitive — passports and ID documents, birth, marriage or academic certificates, medical records, court and legal filings, financial statements. Some of these may be "special category" data under Article 9 GDPR — for example, health data in a medical record, or data revealing legal proceedings. We only ever use the content of your documents to produce your translation and to handle any correction you request under our quality guarantee. We do not read, analyse or use your documents for any other purpose, and we do not sell or share their content with anyone outside the people directly involved in producing your translation.

• To prepare a quote, process your order, deliver your translation and invoice you — necessary to perform the contract between us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To process the content of documents that qualify as special category data, so we can produce the translation you asked for — your explicit consent, given by sending us the document for that purpose (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR).
• To keep accounting and tax records — a legal obligation we are subject to under Spanish tax and commercial law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• To run analytics, only once you accept it — your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
• To secure our website and prevent fraud or abuse — our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), balanced against your rights.

We keep the documents you send us and the translations we produce only for as long as needed to complete your order and to handle any correction request under our quality guarantee (14 days from delivery — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy), normally no more than a few weeks after delivery, and we then delete them. We do not currently operate server-based storage for uploaded files: where our order form doesn't take an upload directly, you send us documents by email, and they are held in our business mailbox for the retention period described above.

Invoices and accounting records are kept for the periods Spanish tax and commercial law require, generally up to six years. Contact messages that don't lead to an order are kept for as long as needed to answer you, and deleted afterwards. Analytics data is retained as described in our Cookie Policy.

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to run our business:

• Our hosting provider, which stores the website's files; it does not receive the content of your documents, since document exchange currently happens by email, not through server-side storage.
• Our email provider, which hosts the mailbox we use to receive your documents and correspondence.
• Google Ireland Limited, as the provider of Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
• Your bank, if you pay by bank transfer — the transfer happens directly between you and your bank; we never see or store your banking credentials.
• Public authorities, where the law requires it (for example, tax authorities).

Any transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area is limited to the analytics data described above. Google is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection; no other personal data you send us leaves the EU. The content of your documents and translations is handled entirely within the EU.

Under GDPR and the LOPDGDD, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure ("the right to be forgotten"), subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
• Portability, for data you gave us and that we process by automated means under a contract or your consent.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@fasttranslationservices.com — please tell us which right you're exercising so we can respond correctly. We aim to respond within one month. If you believe we haven't handled your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es.
