Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 22 July 2026
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms govern every order placed through fasttranslationservices.com, operated by Fast Translation Services S.L. (CIF B50841329, C. de Martón y Gavín, 10, Delicias, 50017 Zaragoza, Spain). By placing an order, you accept these terms in full. If you are a consumer within the meaning of Spanish and EU law, the consumer-protection provisions below apply to you; if you order as a business, section 7 (right of withdrawal) does not apply, since it is a right reserved to consumers.
2. Our services and how prices work
We sell certified/sworn translation, professional translation (legal, medical, technical, financial), apostille and legalisation assistance, website and software localization, interpreting, and related extras (additional stamped copies, registered postal delivery, notarisation, proofreading, transcription and subtitling). Every priced item on this website shows a real "from" price before you order — word count, language pair, urgency and delivery options are calculated live as you configure your order.
All prices shown include 21% Spanish IVA, except where you tell us at checkout that you are a VAT-registered business established outside Spain: in that case IVA is removed and the reverse-charge mechanism applies. Prices are quoted in euros. We reserve the right to correct an obvious pricing error before we accept your order; if we can't honour a mispriced order, we'll tell you and refund any payment in full.
3. Placing an order
You place an order by configuring the service you need (language pair, word count or duration, urgency, certification and delivery options), adding it to your cart, and completing checkout with your contact details, documents (uploaded or sent by email, per our Privacy Policy) and payment. Your order is confirmed once we send you an order confirmation with your order reference; this confirmation is when the contract between us is formed.
4. Payment
You can pay by card through our checkout, or by bank transfer, using the account details and order reference we provide once you confirm your order. An order paid by bank transfer is marked "awaiting transfer," and work begins once we can confirm your payment has arrived, normally within one business day during office hours. We do not store your card details.
5. Delivery and turnaround
The turnaround shown for each service runs from when we confirm your order (or, for a bank-transfer order, from when we confirm your payment) and assumes the source document you sent us is legible and complete. Digitally signed PDF delivery by email is included at no extra cost; a paper original with a wet-ink stamp is available by registered post (Spain €12, EU €24, rest of world €34) or for collection in person at our Zaragoza office.
6. Your obligations
You're responsible for sending us a legible, complete copy of the document you want translated, and for telling us, before you order, about anything unusual the receiving authority requires (a specific certification formula, a particular format, a deadline). Our turnaround commitments and our rejection guarantee (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy) assume the source document and your instructions were accurate and complete; delays or formal issues caused by an illegible source document or an undisclosed requirement are not covered by our guarantees, though we will always tell you honestly if this is the case.
7. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days from your order to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU; Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007). Because our turnaround commitments mean translation work starts almost immediately, we ask you, at checkout, to expressly request that we begin work right away and to acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed, you lose your right of withdrawal, in line with Article 103(a) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. This is a mandatory, unticked checkbox at checkout — without it, we cannot begin your order through our standard checkout, since our stated turnaround times depend on starting immediately. If you would rather keep your full 14-day withdrawal period and are content for work to begin only once it has passed, contact us at support@fasttranslationservices.com before ordering and we'll arrange this manually.
If you withdraw before the service is fully performed, you pay only a proportional amount for the part already supplied, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Once a sworn (certified) translation has been stamped, signed and delivered, the service is considered fully performed and is non-refundable, for the reasons explained in that policy.
8. Confidentiality and intellectual property
We treat the content of every document you send us as confidential, and handle it entirely within the EU; you can request a confidentiality agreement or NDA before sending anything sensitive, at no extra charge (see our Process page and Privacy Policy). Ownership of the translation we deliver, and of the underlying source document, remains with you; we don't use your documents for any purpose beyond delivering and supporting your order.
9. Liability
We are liable for delivering the service with the professional care and accuracy our positioning promises, and we correct or re-translate any error attributable to us free of charge, as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We are not liable for consequences arising from an inaccurate, incomplete or illegible source document, from a requirement you did not disclose to us, or from a receiving authority applying a requirement outside the scope of the order you placed. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. Complaints and dispute resolution
If anything about your order isn't right, contact us first at support@fasttranslationservices.com — most issues are resolved directly and quickly. As a consumer, you can also refer a dispute to the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute is subject to the courts of Zaragoza, Spain, without prejudice to your right, as a consumer, to bring proceedings before the courts of your own place of residence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here at the time you place your order. If we make a material change, we'll show it clearly on the site.
